it's a pretty requested concept, people want things to be like the shellphone or grand design. The former being more likely to be added since it's easier to implement. I've heard devs (or likely just red) say that the grand design is complicated to code or that they don't wanna work on more UIs in general. I don't know, but something as simple as the shellphone shouldn't be too bad

tbf I think it doesn't need that. I see your point, but I think just having Left/Right click is fine, since mot of the time we alr have Drill Unit that breaks both Axe/Pick blocks with Left Click and walls with Right Click

so, you could just put block breaking on Left and wall on Right, and is much easier and practical to use (at least imo)
