Don't smash every altar you see
Build above ground to start
Start organizing early on
Study more tinkerer combos and stop hoarding everything

The corruption hit me the hardest.. hard to place NPCs when they can't use buildings because of corruption. I could of halved my play time if I would of just paid attention
