World evil doesn't affect the ore spawn. You only get one type of each ore, the amount of altars broken doesn't affect this. The purpose of the altars is to spawn more ores dependant on how many you break

Hello, to get a suspicious looking eye you will need 6 "Lens" which drop from demon eyes and bring these to a demon/crimson altar, these glowing objects that are located in the corrupted biomes (the purple and the red one depending on your world)

This item can also be found within golden chests underground alongside some other useful loot!

Before fighting the boss, be sure that you have enough means of mobility: a swiftness potion, any boots that let you run fast, a hook for quick direction change, and it is a good idea to make a couple or more long (i mean it, long) platforms to give yourself a comfortable layout to move around in.

Flaming Arrows/Frostburn Arrows -> Flaming Mace/Ice Boomerang -> Volcano/Molten Fury -> Sunfury/FoF -> SFK -> Flamethrower -> Elf Melter -> Daybreak (?).
