Specular fish generally are pretty common, but they're found by fishing in the underground or caverns. You could craft some more recalls, or just craft/find a magic mirror (unless you're in hardcore and need recalls for desperate situations)

the mechanic's rod is fairly easy to get (sold by the mechanic depending on the moon phase)

and you can find worms by breaking background rock decor and then craft them into enchanted nightcrawlers using a fallen star to use as bait
