I really like several of the Deerclops drops; those being Lucy the Axe, Radio Thing, and Eye Bone

Lucy: It’s an axe with max powe mr that makes fun comments when you chop down trees
Radio Thing: Adds a cool as hell sepia filter to the game
Eye Bone: Summons Chester, the best character in Don’t Starve

Oh, and the Bone Helm is really good for a summoner such as myself

I like to just make a platform roughly above his head, then just bash him from above while following the pattern... snow spike, snow spike, snow pike both side and repeat. I killed all but on of cultist and went into the duegon to farm ectoplasm so I was far enough away that the lunitic couldnt spawn and down far enough that the cultists would reset.. but they didnt... The final cultist somehow went through the floor all the way down to me and then died.... Theres no more cultists, no boss , and they arnt respawning even after I leave the world

not sure bee hives can generate so closely to the surface but if you see honey blocks and/or honey pools, it usually means a bee hive is nearby it
starfury is amazing for finding bee hives but also risky since you can summon queen bee accidentally
flares might work, not as good but little to no risk
