the gameplay loop is mostly explore, dig for ores, make better equipment so that you can explore further and deeper underground for even better stuff. Make sure to look for heart shaped crystals and mine those, and eventually youll be ready to start fighting bosses, as you kill bosses youll become able to do more things in the world.
