My play pattern is this: play for a while until I reach a new milestone like a boss fight, realize how I could have done it sooner with certain efficiencies, then start a new character in a new world. So far my best is to defeat the twins in 21 hours (after defeating the destroyer of worlds). I haven't killed skeletron prime yet. So I guess I'm a casual speed runner

A piggy bank
And A void vault

So if you carry one of each of these items with you, or their item spawn(such as a void bag) you could place/spawn those storage items anytime and technically have 5 inventory spaces worth to hold loot
