Im new to this server and terraria modded in general but i have an issue Im running into and need some help.

Im currently trying to do a multiplayer play through of calamity with some quality of life mods added on. I made sure to download all the correct mods, however, every time that either of my friends host a server and i try to join them, i get stuck on a screen that says "Syncing Mods." At which point it takes a while to load but eventually tells me "Lost Connection." I thought maybe if I hosted the server that it could work for my friends. However, when I host, they get stuck on a "Recieiving Tiles: " screen with a random percentage afterwards. I've tried a handful of solutions that I found on Steam and Reddit forums but am really struggling to figure out why I cannot join them. If anyone has expereinced this issue before or knows how to deal with it, help would be greatly apprecited. Thank you.

in the wiki it says that you gotta craft the crimson altar instead of using a natural one

it is made with 10 crimtane bars and 15 tissue samples

then you place that one and you can craft the biome globe with 5 tombstones, a broken snowglobe, 5 water buckets, 5 lava buckets, 5 honey buckets and 3 campfires
