i found help on the dwl irc stating that the config.h was located in the standard output designated by man 1p make for $@. i also saw a file located in /etc/portage/savedconfig. i couldn't find (or really comprehend) the $@ location option, and i emerged dwl since gentoo repositories have it. i'm assuming this means it's the savedconfig file, i'm just somewhat confused on this. does emerge kinda have the same function as make for the purposes of commands invoking posix make envars? does it make its own config in savedconfig along with a config.h in the $@ location?
