Ah, then perhaps the Wikipedia misinformed me. I was under the impression that Westphalian was a dialect grouping within Low Saxon. In that case, I speak Waldeckian Low Saxon, but that also isn't included.

maybe I misunderstood. I have always been taught that the main language is Low Saxon, and that there are Westphalian, Twents, and Achterhoek dialects of the language. I have never read anything about Twents or Achterhoeks being a subclass of Westphalian.

but that was by reading books about Twents and Achterhoek dialects and speaking to linguists in Twente, who may not have been the most objective about the status of their language 🙂

Of course! I don't doubt you know more about the classification of your local dialect. I get why including Dutch Low Saxon dialects into Westphalian is kind of weird, considering Westphalia is largely a German region. I think such classifications are probably very subjective as you mention either way.

The German sources I've interacted with only really consider German Low Saxon, so I know relatively little of Dutch Low Saxon - probably why my assumption was a bit off 🙂

I am not an expert in this. I just read books about the Twents and Achterhoeks dialect being part of the Low Saxon family. I never heard that they were considered part of Westphalian Low Saxon. I did a few quick Google searches and it seems that's a theory in German literature rather than Dutch literature. Interesting. All my knowledge is from Dutch sources.

Yep! It's actually a lot of fun. Except when @crystal shard & @jade pulsar pelt you with chicken legs because you're on your own raft dying alone trying to put out orders

It's solo-able, but really much more fun multiplayer IMO. It has couch coop (even split keyboard I think), 2-4 player online matchmaking, and a party mode.

Overcooked is great couch co-op. I have played it through with my wife twice, once for my account and once for her account to get all achievements for both. Great fun for two (or four). Overcooked 2 on the other hand fails. They changed the scoring so that two players can't anymore achieve everything. It's quite frustrating when you can get only low scores with two players, maps feel like they are designed for four players and game punish you if you have only two players. We tried and quickly switched to better games.

It's still very basic - you can tell that most of their development so far has just gone into tornado physics, and they've got some work to do (i.e. no radio, no other cars on the road, etc). But I was watching a let's play of someone playing the single player offline mode and it looks cool. My bf was getting a kick out of how frustrated I was getting at the let's player consistently not going towards the storms with hook echos 😅

Update : the King of Italy was deposed and the crown passed passed to his nearest relative, his sister, my wife. We just broke up but she still likes me from getting her land that one time.

it's co-op 4 player, its been awhile but i believe it was 10 waves of enemies, and some of the waves might have an objective or a special mission

by completing waves you unlock playable characters and items you can equip

you can up the difficulty to get better/more loot etc etc

a lot of people who play dragon age or mass effect are understandably interested in the single player story so the multiplayer is either loved or hated (mostly hated for some reason)

If anyone is looking for a new cozy game like Stardew Valley, I cannot recommend Fields of Mistria enough. It is SO GOOD and it's still only in early access. The music is so nostalgic, the art is great, and there are so many quality of life improvements I never knew I needed!

Quality of life improvements include: ||No friendship decay, can save at any time, crafting pulled from any chest but you can toggle this on/off for each chest, can change your character's look, name, and pronouns at any time for free, more skills and better skill tree (you don't have to choose between perks, you can unlock them all), tons more dialogue...||
I will say romance isn't yet in the game but they're planning on adding that in a future update! A lot is still locked, so expect that, but it still honestly feels like a polished game even with progression locked.

Played a bit since Quidditch Champions is free on PlayStation Plus rn. I'm not really the best person to ask since I'll take keyboard and mouse over a controller any day, but I found the controls difficult to get a hold of and my bf wasn't fairing much better. Was definitely fun to fool around in and I could see myself doing the single player campaign, but I doubt I'd ever play competitively

I think we can. You can switch your server before you play a game, results in more ping ofc but it can be done. If you don’t mind me asking what servers do you play on?
