I’m hoping someone here can help me figure this out. I recently swapped the motherboard on my New 3DS XL. The replacement board came from a working console (it was tested and gave video before installation), but after moving it to my shell, I’m stuck with a really strange issue.
Here’s what happens:
I press the power button, the blue light turns on and stays on.
I can hear the usual menu sound from the speakers, so the console seems to boot.
The touchscreen works — I can navigate blindly and hear the UI sounds when I tap where icons should be.
But both screens remain black. No image at all, not even a backlight.
Here’s the weird part: if I close the lid, the audio cuts out (as expected in sleep mode), but when I open it again, the audio does NOT come back. It stays silent until I reboot.
