So I wanted to enable some quality of life cheats for my playthrough of Pokemon Y but when I create cheats.txt and put it in the title id folder for Pokemon Y or enable them with checkpoint rosalina menu still doesn't recognize them. I've double checked the title id and all, what could be causing this? I have game patching enabled if it means anything.
#Rosalina menu can't find any cheats

might be cuz your copy of the game and cheats have difrent regions. the cheats only work for their specific regional version of the game since they have diffrent game ids. this also applys to updates in case the game has updates and the cheats are for an older or newer version than yours.
also the placement of the file of the file is very important
Confirm the correct Title ID
Open game
Press L + Down + Select
Go to Process List
Select Pokémon Y
Note the exact Title ID
check if the file is correctly placed on your sd card (3 options, 1. check directly via fbi, 2. check via ftpd on your pc or get the physical sd to read)
look into
SD:/luma/titles/
and in this folder there has to be a folder called the exact title id of your game (Update and region change that id) and place the cheats.txt in this folder, the one called after your title id
if you need help, got question let me know
Well, most Pokemon games including Y only have one region free version and just let you choose the language at the beginning. I will double check everything again though.
what you said is true but still doesnt change anything of what i said lol. the "Region Free" is just another Title Id from other Regions + is also being changed by updates. I know some games have region free releases, but that doesnt change anything lmao
its just another title id which you need to verify
I checked the id from rosalina menu like you suggested and it's STILL right. The game is fully updated and should be fine. Cheats STILL don't work... Is there anything else that I should "enable" that might be keeping it from working?
