Bought a 3DS that is stuck on a “An Exception Occurred” screen

When I initially bought it online, the 3DS was set up and already working. I just got it today, and I’m stuck on this screen and I know nothing about modding. I was hoping to get some kind of help or direction of what to do. I’ve tried reading articles and I feel lost 🙁

Hold select while powering on, you should see the luma configuration menu

Set hbmenu autoboot to off then press start
