#how do I put nds games in full screen on 3ds?
67 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Did you already do the install instructions?
yep
i think in the last version of twilight menu the option of change screen resolution dont appear
Can you send a picture of your screen when pressing Y on a game?
All options
Spanish language, no problem, but widescreennoption doesnt appear
@south dragon maybe its the newest version of Twilight
Instead maybe you can try activating it for every single game (what you probably wanted to do anyways) in the actual twilightmenu++ settings
@plain terrace
That option doesn't appear either
That's why I say it might be because of the latest version of Twilight
idk but in the newest version probably happens differently
Can you send an image of the settings? Under the category ‘misc’
Im talking about the actual settings of twilightmenu not the game-specific settings which you sent pictures of
This is all options
I dont see screen aspect ratio
Y see this options in 2.8.3 versión?
Wait
I will show how it looks like for me
AHHH I FOUND THE ISSUE
The guide is outdated, you need to go to nds-bootstrap settings inside twilightmenu settings
@plain terrace
ouuu
wait
im checking
Noup jaja
Yoy have the 2.8.2 version
Can i downgrade my Twilight versión?
It’s not the version that’s causing it tho
I can record all the proces to use full screen, maybe i doing a wrong step
Idk
I followed step by step 3 times the guide xd
I found a solution online but I’m not sure if it’s going to work
Okay so you’re sure everything is in the right location? The correct files are in the correct folder and you enabled external firms in the luma settings?
Let me check one time more, but im sure everything its correct
I do It the process trhee times
Yeah maybe the guide is outdated, I’m going to send you a video tutorial
this is how it looks like for me
Do not send video guides
Dont give dm help either
Download twlpatch from universal updater and install the widescreen patch
I would agree if there was an up to date written guide like 3ds.hacks.guide but that’s not the case. Video tutorials are the most up to date resource for it at this point
You will still need to add it to the twilight folder or else your screen is just going to be stretched. Twilight Menu has custom game specific patches to make 3D objects not stretched for example and simply render them wider. This is the part that’s not working for him as the option isn’t showing up
You still cant send people video guides
Yeah sure
I didn’t send any btw
Maybe the option isn’t appearing because the specific game doesn’t support the special patches
So go to TWLpatch and generate a new widescreen patch. Make sure you have Widescreen.cxi where the guide told you to put it and the extra generated patch (TwlBg.cxi) in sysmodules so you have a fallback incase the game isn't supported
What should I do then?
I tried the process from scratch two more times and it didn't work for me.
I'm honestly not sure as I've never seen this happening before, I found an old post saying you need to delete settings.ini and select the correct console when launching twilightmenu++ after it (3ds)
