So I my right bumper button on my new 3ds xl is acting a bit wonky as in I need to press it a certain way to make it work, that shouldn't be to hard to fix yes? Also any suggestions on finding and replacing back plates? Mines are peeling

Shouldn't be too hard to fix. You can take off the back shell, disconnect 2 ribbon cables and lift it off. Take some IPA and put them on the buttons (the actual buttons connected to the ribbon cable, not the plastic) and then start clicking them for a few times to make sure everything gets cleaned. I did this with my og 3ds xl but the process will be similar for new 3ds xl
you need to take the buttons out by removing the screws ofc (look up a guide on ifixit)
