Just replaced the battery in my 3dsXL after about a year of not using it and pretty much everything works just as it did before, except FBI and universal updater. both have the same exception (arm11, undefined instruction, loader) and r0 code (D96077FA), which multiple sources online say indicates the app is corrupted. however, downloading new copies of both still leaves me with the same error. no other games or apps have any similar errors. anyone know what could be causing this?
#undefined instruction error when loading FBI or universal-updater

Uninstall and reinstall them
sorry if it wasn't clear in the post, I already replaced both with new versions
the exception occured with both old and new versions
swapped the adapter while troubleshooting too, was using a samsung model previously
i did manage to boot an older copy of universal updater i had archived on the sd card that self-updated to latest. was able to get a working copy of FBI through there, so both are working now.
considering this "solved" with the caveat that i don't know what was actually wrong
thx :3
That SanDisk looks a bit sketchy. Boot into GodMode9 with this SD (hold Start on boot), then hit the HOME button and navigate to More... -> System Info, then show the last 8 digits of the System ID1.
sorry for the late response, attempting to boot into gm9 by holding start gives an error saying the payload is invalid or corrupted (no code)
also worryingly streetpass mii plaza is now also giving an error (D900458B) that indicates it's corrupted, despite working yesterday
Get a fresh GodMode9.firm and put in /luma/payloads
Also GodMode9 should be able to boot without an SD card
trying to boot gm9 with the sd card removed just boots to the 3ds menu
