So my parents decided to renovate an old room in the yard in which we threw really old stuff including an old 3ds which was apparently lying there.

Now I have the 3ds and its safe to assume it hasnt been charged for at least 3 years, now it's charging showing me the orange charging light but when I turn it on the signal next to it turns blue (indicating its on) but then immediatly shuts off with a popping sound.

Anyone know a solution?

It's an original 3DS

The issue is either the speaker ribbon cable, top/bottom screen data/backlight ribbon cable, or camera ribbon cable

#

Youll need to reseat them and inspect them for any damage

#

Depending on where you live there may be corrosion/water damage causing it

Try ribbon cable as dude above me suggested

Mostly batter one

But try to take every one kf those out and reconnect them
