Hi! The bottom screen on my 3ds isnt working after i opened it up. All the cables are in place and fully fastened, the screen wont display though. Touch still works.
what could the reason be and how can i fix it?
please ping me in replies or i probably wont see for awhile

@gloomy ingot Sometimes theres a chance that your bottom screen ribbon cable has been damaged, I noticed a little bit of damage on the cable, you can try a new bottom display to see if that fixes the issue

so there's visible damage? could you point it out or try to show where it is so i can get an idea of what to look out for

When installing and removing that cable, you should try to use flat tweezers, preferably made out of cermamic is what I recomemnd for installing these ribbon cables, as they are very fragile

The two circled areas are what I think could be signs of damage, the cable looks a little frayed om the edge here and it's why I think this cable is damaged, it could be on the other side, the way how the light reflects on this cable also makes me think that it's either not fully seated or maybe even creased

I can see a massive dent on the left side of the cable, I think your Display is toast

It's not too expensive to replace, nor is it hard to replace thankfully
I recommend using IFixIt's guide on doing a bottom screen replacement

one fo the times i connected it, it worked (after not working) and then the 2nd time it didnt work again so yeah i think its damaged
or im just terrible at securing it
