So there is this orange shining Line next to my 2DS Screen and I don't know why it's there, if it's "dangerous", if it's normal and I don't know how to remove it.

That's backlight bleed through, which is pretty much guaranteed on n2dsxl models with lighter colour shells

About the New 2DS XL

We don't recommend buying the New 2DS XL for a multitude of reasons:

  • Higher rate of FCRAM failure
  • Higher rate of NAND failure
  • No 3D (obviously)
  • Low quality build despite being in the "New" line
  • High price despite being a budget console
  • Speakers placed where your hand goes
  • Backplate uses tri-point screws despite other models using #00 JIS
  • Tiny stylus
  • Hinge prone to snapping
  • Difficult to repair (e.g battery glued in place)
  • Lower battery capacity (1500mAh vs 1750mAh)
  • No charging cradle
  • LCD light bleeds through the shell on orange and white models
  • Matte finish is prone to scratching

We are of course not saying to get rid of it if you already own one, but if you are in the market for a new 3DS it's best to avoid the n2DSXL for the reasons above.
