#3ds skipped a bunch of steps?

hi I was following the 3ds hack guide and about halfway through prep work I made the id1 and I stuck the sd into my 3ds and turned it on and it went straight to the luma screen in step 3 for boot9strap. Im not an expert on this at all but I know thats wrong because I just followed the same steps on a different 3ds of the same version(most recent 11.17.0) which went perfect from start to finish and it shouldve booted to the home screen. not sure what to do from here. (pic is from some youtube video bc itd take to long to take a pic and transfer it to my computer rn)

what's the luma version on the top, and what does the yellow text say on the bottom? (of your 3ds obviously, not whatever video you're taking images from)

Luma3DS v13.3.3 and the bottom "Booted from SD via B9S"

alrighty, do the following:

  • assuming you're doing mset9-cli, skip to section iv, "removing mset9"
  • continue to finalizing setup afterwards
