Back up games from a corrupted SD card

So I have an SD card filled with e-shop games but the SD card is too corrupted to copy using usual methods. However the games themselves still run. Is there any way to back them up?

I assume the games have some sort of error correction

Should I just use the built in software to back up the saves?

ideally you would use Checkpoint

you can back up any game's save with it, any amount of times, and you can restore it post-format or on a different console

problem is I don't have checkpoint on the old sd

The thing is the old sd doesn't have the mod on it

and I am too scared to install it because it's already quite corrupted

I tried following the instructions and it crashes when I try to reload the download play app
