so i got the screwdrivers to get past the second backplate but i think two of the screws are stripped (specifically the bottom right and middle left, images below) so i cant unscrew them
ive tried putting a rubber band over them, even with a one size larger screwdriver bit, but ion think its working since that hole the screws are in might be too deep. any other ideas?

Ahh this is really unfortunate. My tip:
If you tried the rubber band method and a bigger screwdriver, maybe try adding hot glue on the screw and put the screwdriver right like how you would if you would screw it normally, wait for the hot clue to dry and try screwing, this might get a hold onto the screw and you can take it out. Uhhh... if that doesn't work you can try drilling it out, the risk there is you might damage the plastic... If you manage to take them out tho I really recommend you to try and find out what screws these are and order new ones. I hope I could help you! ^_^

@marble furnace quick update: went to a repair shop and they were able to get the screws out π
ive just got past the motherboard after some finnicking (the literally cooked the plastic around the screw hole or sum) but i may or may not have broken the circle pad ribbon π₯
looking for a replacement on amazon while i continue with this fix and theyre all like over 20 dollars and adding extra tools for some reason π
other than that its smooth sailing (im fixing d pad drift)

pissed me off but there was another ribbon cable that worked exactly like that one and i took it out easily
we learn as we go π
anyways before i concede and blow damn near 30 (canadian π) dollars on a new circle pad thing, do you know of a cheaper option thats like, still "nintendo" quality? they'll all probably work fine but i wanna know if theres one that is universally agreed upon to be the best or wtv
