I wanted to get a new 3ds XL on eBay, but it had one problem: black screen of death. The LCDs were lit up. But this one was different because In the listing it states that the 3ds emits the home menu sound, and it still can move around the home menu, even though the screens aren't working. If I get it, is it easy to fix? I couldn't find any solutions with similar problems.

Could loose ribbon cables be the cause?

Or the wifi chip?

EDIT: I just got word and the screens do not emit light.

I think I might buy it and see what I could do from there. It's priced at a decent price.
