I just got a "new" 2ds xl second hand and unfortunately the top screen has a big black bar along the bottom of it. Does anyone one have any links to guides or tutorials on how I might go about fixing this?

replacing the top screen of a new 2ds xl is asking for something to go wrong, that is the hardest non solder repair you can do on a 3ds
nintendo made it unreasonably difficult to replace the battery let alone the top screen

you could send it into nintendo to get repaired
they will most likely replace the console with a brand new one

yea, just note that if your system is modded, you wanna remove as many traces of it as possible
