So I just bought an n3ds xl and I keep having these snaping sound when opening the lid and changing the angle. At first I thought it was normal but after some youtube searching, Im having anxiety that if mine was just broken or not

Yes, the hinges all do that. There are several preset angles it is made to snap into, to lock into place and not flop around as the hinge wears out
Iirc there are 2 or 3 positions

I see, so does it have a easy fix for this hinge just in case of it might broke in the future. Cuz the one I bought was 2nd hand from a friend and it was use since 2018 so I want to make sure Im prepared for it

definetely not an "easy fix" as you have to almost completely disassemble the 3ds but i wouldnt worry about it, unless you try to break it, they usually last quite awhile
