I wrote this as I had the problem, alongside many others users. Here's a possible solution:

  1. Switch to Nintendo network using nimbus. 2) Turn off the 3DS. 3) Turn on and switch back to Pretendo. 4) IMMEDIATELY go to configuration and Nintendo account to link your Pretendo account. Hope this helps.
