(Hi, I posted a similar question last week and never figured it out. I apologize if I'm not supposed to double-ask)

Trying to connect my 3DS audio to laptop.
My laptop does not have a proper mic port, but it does have a Combo port, Thunderbolt 4 ports, and a USB 3 port.

Connecting to either the Combo port or the Thunderbolt 4 (via a USB C-to-mic splitter adapter) results in horrible distortion.

What can I try or buy that would make this better? I keep buying different adapters to no avail, feel like I'm scraping for any solution.

Whatever gives you a pc audio input that can accept the cable you have to plug into the 3ds

#

You aren't supposed to use microphone anyway, you are supposed to use line in

#

There's only one audio out port on the 3ds, this shouldn't be a tricky thing to figure out

#

Pc inputs vary, and you can add them via expansion devices

USB sound cards have been a thing almost as long as usb, I have one from 2001

It's also all analog, so plug converters exist
