I am getting a new 3ds and I was wondering should I mod the language first or should I mod it for all the games first. Also, I have a sim card for it and the computer to complete the modding process, my 3ds comes this Friday. It will be appreciated if I could get some context to my confusion. Thank you and have a nice day

Okay then do homebrew for games right?

Homebrew doesn't give you games, it is unofficial apps

#

Cfw lets you change console region and use cartridges from outside of the region

#

Japanese language systems only have Japanese menu language

#

Sim is for cellular data connection, consoles don't use it

They've got a proper name

Games come on cartridge at this point

Sd card is mainly used for updates and some save data now

The system should ship with a 4 gb

Oh okay

#

So I use cfw to change the region to play the usa games I have and change the language right

#

It's my first time modding so i just want to make sure I don't mess up

You don't need to change region to launch cartridges

#

Japanese firmware will launch your carts just by having cfw

#

Luma removes the region lock just by being there

#

Language change requires a region change, which breaks other stuff

Then buy an American or European system

#

Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Taiwanese systems are single language, no English

Read the guide for luma, it runs at every boot once installed
