#How to apply Dragon Quest VIII restoration patch?

So I bought a EU copy of DQ8 and figured I'd make use of the mod that is possible to restore some PS2 stuff. However, the most info I was able to find how to apply it is "dragging and dropping the folders onto SD Card and booting up NTR CFW". I booted up NTR CFW but after clicking a few menu building selections through the app menu it just disconnected. Is that it or do I need to do something else?

You do it via layeredfs function of luma, not ntr

hmm. I don't see luma on my 3ds menu. I tried getting it through the universal updater but all I could find was a boot.firm and hourly boot.firm file downloads on the "noob-proof" version

Luma is the cfw, it doesn't show an icon or menu

#

The wiki on the github covers using layeredfs

#

You're not supposed to use hourly, that's what the code was an hour ago

#

You enable patching in the luma config file or the config menu you can access at boot

#

And then it loads a patch for a matching title from the sd

#

The pinned wiki in #modding covers it
