Hello guys, I'm having this issue with my 3DS, I used to have an account that I made for my 3DS, but now I forgot or don't use the email anymore. I can't get a verification mail. I can't login in and it's frustrating. I don't know if I have to reset or not, because I can't seem to find another way. Can someone please help me? Thank you!

if you don't have access to that email address or you forgot what it was then you need to contact nintendo support for help

yeah, if you can't gain access to your registered email and nintendo support can't help you for whatever reason then i'm not sure what else could be done

an update notification should automatically popup after you insert the cartridge

if you can't figure out what email you used for the nnid then your only option is to contact nintendo support, prove that you own the account, and have them change the email to the one you use now
if for whatever reason that is not possible, you did mention contacting them already but didn't elaborate on what they said, anyway you can system format the console and that would let you update the game
since the old nnid would be removed and replaced with a new one

so right now the console won't let you update your game without providing your nnid credentials right, a last resort option here would be to perform a system format, this will erase the nnid currently linked to the console, alongside your installed titles, updates, save games etc, it's a nuclear option
if i were you i would call nintendo's support helpline and get them to change the email and password for your nnid
