The buttons on my 3ds xl arent working and idk why. The buttons have worked before and the buttons themselves on the motherboard click fine but for some reason the buttons won't click anymore and idk why. I suspect that it is the bottom lcd's housing that is the problem as I had to replace it but I don't know what is wrong with it.

I replaced the housing for the bottom lcd and for some reason the plastic button pieces aren't clicking whenever I press one. The motherboards buttons are fine and respond and even in the old broken housing the buttons clicked fine but for some reason in this one they don't want to click. I rechecked the rubber contact, the plastic buttons and the motherboard on the old housing and it worked so I think there is something wrong with the replacement housing I bought

It’s probably a issue with this housing you bought. I would either buy new housing or just go back to the old housing.

Can’t really go back to the old one as the hinge broke on it and I asked if Ifixit for a replacement as I thought it was defective and that still didn’t work
