#are nintendo support able to unlink a nnid account?

i just saw this, yes nintendo can remotely unlink your nnid
that's ony necessary when the console is non functional or lost
since yours is still working you can perform a system transfer manually
am i able to transfer from a n2dsxl to an o3dsxl?
due to it being a new model i thought it couldnt
system transfers work between any two 3ds family systems
just game data wont transfer?
if you perform a system transfer those will copy over too
ima try now
remember, one system can only use one nnid at a time
so the nnid on your o3dsxl will be replaced
and the one on your n2dsxl will be removed
i recommend backing up the game save data and sd card contents of both systems before proceeding with the system transfer
also before you do this at all, i highly recommend you troubleshoot the issue with your n2dsxl
it might very well be fixable
could it be the card reader got dislodged?
cause i never have had problems with the sd card till after the battery change
im scared i might have damaged it when i was taking the back plate off
that might be a possibility, can you describe the issue in detail?
just says the sd card has been removed whenever i place it down sometimes
and there is a black screen with white text
a picture of that black screen will be useful
and yeah, my initial impression is that the card slot got loose
its this
its the error ive been getting on my console
did you get that picture from somewhere else
this one yes
makes sense
well, if the issue only occurs while settings the console down then it might very well be the reason you stated
something came loose during the disassamebly process
I really do not want to open the console again and risk further damage which is a problem
it needs to be the done if the issue is to be fixed right
how did the disassembly process go
was disconnecting the connectors a smooth process?
was a bit fidgety
putting em back
but otherwise you didn't accidentally hit or bump the any part of the console?
it's okay, it happens
if i were you i'd watch a complete disassembly video of the console and learn how to remove and reseat the card reader module properly
k
in any case your nnid and all the games linked to it are safe, even if the console breaks down completely you can have nintendo perform a remote system transfer
so i just tried a transfer and i cant transfer from a new 3ds system to a 3ds system
ah, it appears you can't transfer from new to old models, my bad
if it comes to it i will probaby pick up a preowned new 2ds from cex
i don't think you've permanently damaged anything, reseating the sd card module should fix the issue
I'll have a look
alright, good luck
is it normal for the sd card to stop reading if it hits a hard surface with a bit of force?
you only need to do that if the soldering broke off during the repair process, which i doubt it did
the sd card or the console?
i have no clue how hard of a beating sd cards can take
It happens whenever its put down on hard surface with some force
join the nintendo homebrew server and post this query in the hardware channel
better chance someone with experience on the matter will reply
no they don't, you can only go old to new, or same to same, not new to old, the server won't allow it
once you go new, you are stuck new
and Nintendo tends to refuse a manual unlink if the target is old
i see, thanks for the correction, i did not know they would refuse a manual transfer from new to old as well
