Thinking about buying

Although I already have a standard 2DS, I’m considering buying a 3DS in 2023. Should I buy one? And if so, which model should I get?

(If I get another 3DS, I’ll consider modding my 2DS and it will be my first console that I’ve modded)

I got a new 2ds xl on ebay for around 200$. It can play any 3ds game just without 3D. Which is fine for most people.

I would get a new 3ds xl, has the better specs and the bigger screen

I just bought a New 3DS LL and it was 100% worth it.

And it’s my first one.

If you got the extra cash I would look into the new 3ds xl or just a xl.

Mod both systems, its very easy to and you are able to do anything you want with both at that point but yeah modding one at the very least still is ideal. As for what to get the old way to go was get a 2ds xl but now its just to get whatever you can.

Buy a japanese model and mod it, thats the cheapest and most of the time nicest. I got myself a lime green 3ds xl and did that (costed me 130)

Does modding take skill or does it have high odds of bricking your system? (Never modded a console before)

Honestly at this point for the 3ds no skill at all, you dont have to worry about anything besides just putting stuff on an SD card

You can mod it in 5 minutes if you read the guide

And if for some reason you ever need help, basic troubleshooting is always possible. The odds of bricking are very very low and only can really happen if you do some stuff in godmode9
