3ds I bought a couple years back that would freeze up and have issues loading games but now it won't turn on (Im not sure if it was modded or not)

you can hold select while powering the 3ds on, to see if it's modded.

i just tried that but it's the same result, i also tried going into recovery mode as well which did work like 1 time and I tried to update it but it gave me an error and didn't update and powered off
this popped up after waiting a couple minutes when I turned it on
it happened when i held select and it happened again when i tried recovery and home menu management

If you can get into home menu, Id try turning wifi off, it might be faulty
