hi, the seller doesnt know if it has a sysnand as apparently their cousin hakced the DS.
system settings shows the system on sys 11.16.0-49E,
how old is this? the menu isnt that scrolla cross style, its like a grid witih heaps of options
seems to have emulators installed already etc
should i push for finding the sysnand file?

additonally, when holding select and booting, i have a luma3ds v12.0 configuration
it says at bottom booted from SD via B9S
so it looks like the latest luma3ds is 12.0.1 so its only one version below? i would update if its safe but i dont have the sysnand, and i cant get the default menu, errr not sure,
also the ds just takes a while to pwoer on in general its a black screen for a while?

You can just update by dragging and dropping the updated Luma 3DS boot.firm onto your SD card and overwriting the old file.
Don't worry, you do have the proper home screen. The 3DS home menu can be zoomed in or out using the buttons in the top right, so it doesn't matter that is not the "scroll across style", the "grid with heaps of options" is just when the home menu is zoomed out
