#Why my Super Smash Bros for 3DS cartridge doesn't work?

Hi everyone!
I bought original cartridge of the game in late 2014., it was always stored inside original package, doesn't have any visible damage on it, and now it doesn't work on my 3DS XL.

I am aware that it usualy takes up to minute to start loading the game with blue box screen after initial 3DS splash screen, but now I left it for a lot of more time to start it, many times, but it is only on black screen after 3DS splash screen, without anything else happening.

What should I do? Should I delete the save game and all the unlockables that I got so far, or is there some another way to make it work again?

My 3DS is not modded and it is on latest software update.

Thank you in advance for any help, I really miss playing this game on my 3DS.

maybe the contacts are oxidized, I don't think it's a data related problem

Anyone have idea, what it could be?

If it's not loading, it might be because there's a memory issue

#

That's what happened with my 3DS when it came to Pokémon

#

If possible, try it on another 3DS console, whether it be your own or your friend's

If I format it, I will lose all the downloaded games and save files I have, should I try with just from this game deleting data? Also, I can't try on another console, since nobody around me currently have one.

Don’t do that @waxen ocean

I assumed it was the same with that smash game

Most likely it was a corrupted update that got cleared with the reset

It was the solution they lead me with and it worked out

So I tried lol

And you should not ever suggest that

#

That’ll delete someone’s entire library of games (if they don’t have the log in details anymore that’s money wasted), save data, all

Just assumed it was the only fix
