changing the time and date on a cfw 2ds

hi, i just wanted to know if is it ok to change the date and time on a cfw 2ds from the system settings? because i remember something from the hacking process that is involved of changing the date and time from a homebrew menu.

The RTC time is completely separate from the system time. Change both. One via GodMode9, one via normal system settings.
