My New 3DS XL has horrible dead zones

So my 3DS has these massive dead zones that make pressing arrows basically impossible. What should I do to fix this?

It's a clear panel between the outside world and the screen that detects touch inputs

90% of the screws in Nintendo 3DS systems are philips heads

They only use tri wing for some oddly specific things, like the MicroSD card slot holder
