I was wondering if anyone could help me get to the bottom of why this issue is happening on my new Nintendo 3DS.
The timer below marks my milestones in figuring it out.
Lap 1 is from the time I turn on the console from when I enter the eshop. Lap 2 is the time in the eshop until the battery goes red. Lap 3 is from the time the battery goes red until the screen goes black. Lap 4 the screen is black but the light turns blue. Lap 5 is the system turns off.

Thanks for the confirmation. I tried contacting Nintendo but they said they can’t repair my system and don’t have any spare parts for it. I am just concerned that the repicas won’t be at full capacity (read a video on how a 3rd party battery was lighter than the official one with less capacity than it as well.)

if you order from nintendo or ifixit you will get the oem battery
if you can't order from either then then check ebay and order from a listing that has good buyer reviews

Pretty much all batteries work
Also never contact Nintendo about that

At this point I think I’d rather a repro battery than OEM, the console is getting to the age where many batteries are dying or expanding
