thinking of doing a clear shell but one of the big issues I gotta solve before I start is what to do about screw holes. Specifically the middle hinge part which has many small holes. Since I’m molding I’m likely gonna lose the screw hole details. so I thought of several options but I appreciate more suggestions

  1. Brass treaded inserts attach using epoxy
  2. drill a pilot hole and go at it
  3. heat a trimmed brass insert and sink it into a clear post part

I'd cover up the holes, make the mold, then re-drill them into the new shell

hmm how would I get the threads tho?

Look at the screws going in to the holes

#

And then find a screw with the same gap between threads (dunno the technical term) and of equal or longer length to the OG screw, and use that to thread the hole

#

*Drill a generic hole about the diameter of the screw first, for the screw to go into

how about screw holes in places that are really thin

such as the backplate screws
