I need an SD card for eShop games before it shuts down and I'm wondering if this is okay and what I need to do to switch SD card and it's files.

I know, stupid question and it probably doesn't matter what one you use but I'm just making sure.

I don't know how I would transfer game files onto the new one without using a computer as I don't have my computer with me.

I've been using the one that came with the 3ds since I got it and it has like no space for anything.

Since I don't have my computer with me I can't back it up that way.

If I need to use a pc then I think I'll have to just deal with losing some of my data as there's no way for me to do it before march 25th

You can also just temporarily use the 32GB SD Card to buy the stuff and when you have access to your PC, you can copy and paste the old files from the old SD Card to the new one and redownload the purchased games.

#

But make sure you delete the new SD Card's content before moving the files. It also has to be formatted in FAT32, keep that in mind.

You need a device with storage that can hold the files while you swap SD cards, or can connect 2 SD readers to directly copy

A pc is easiest

The databases don't allow it

#

SD data also registers to a database, and each card has its own database

Also, saves can conflict between 2 cards, amd secure value storing last known save hash for a game
