#Broken speaker assembly

A year or so my rescue dog with separation anxiety got a hold of my original 3DS and chewed it up pretty bad, just after it happened I think it would turn on and get the typical "pop sound and power off" but I can't exactly remember if that happened, or my memory is being hopeful that it's a possible repair. The console is not showing any signs of power, charging light included.

Pictures to show how the speaker assembly looks, there's some pretty obvious damage on that ribbon cable plug which is what I'm assuming is the issue from what I've looked into

I'm not expecting this to be easily repairable or even continue to be used even if there is a solution, the rest of the body has mostly external damage on one side but it doesn't look like any actual component damage elsewhere.

My question if anyone can offer any insight - I'm probably not experienced enough to replace the whole speaker assembly and everything that comes with it but I'm hoping there could be a way to get the console functional enough to boot up and possibly a system transfer to a new 3DS console, even if it's a temporary solution like connecting the motherboard to replacement parts or similar. I expect this isn't likely so my other option is to use the SD card that was in the console on a new 3DS, but I'm expecting I'd lose whatever data was stored on the console which would be a real shame to lose 10+ years of data and saves (and my Four Swords Anniversary game). Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah that's a doable repair

#

Might be kind of expensive given the amount of parts you'll need to replace to make the repair proper, but yeah

#

As long as there isn't any damage on the bottom side that you aren't showing us

Unfortunately, without repairing it, you aren't going to be getting anywhere with it to do a system transfer. I also would not recommend getting a new 3DS and overwriting the data on your SD card, cause that'd be a waste if it's possible to fix the 3DS and keep your data

Thanks for the comments, I'm thinking it would be a speaker assembly replacement (possibly more?) but would require taking a lot more apart and I'm not confident I could swap the part without causing more issues

From what I understand, even CFW on a new console (this console is unmodded) wouldn't allow me to restore my saves and downloada
