So I had my 2 3ds xls on my nightstand with a cup probably 1/3 full of water (estimation) was knocked over by my cat. I was asleep until it happened so I have no idea if it flowed over either system. My old 3ds xl just had some water on the outside, not in any ports, it seems fine. My new 3ds xl did have water on the upper right corner and just more on it in general, but still didn't seem to be in any ports or important spots, just on the shell. Should I keep them vertical and not touch them for a while? Should I just wait a while? I have no idea.
#I spilt a lil water on my 3ds (Any advice would be greatly appreciated)

well, did you take the battery out? that's what you should always do if it's possible.
and from the description, the water isn't directly split on the 3ds(es), just flow to them?
if so, they should be fine, but maybe better to take the bottom shell apart and wipe the water out
Well I’ve taken the battery out of the n3ds
And while there was some moisture to the right
Well water to the right
There’s none on the battery
Currently opening up the old 3ds
Ok so there was a small amount of water
Like really small
In the upper right corner by a little slit/hole
I don’t know if any got in there
Should I go so far as to take off a shell or something
well, it might be just the shell, maybe inner shell, better to take it apart (just the bottom side should be enough) and make sure there's no water inside
the motherboard should be dry unless you flip it upside down and leave it there for a while
Should I have taken out the sd cards

So far I just have the batteries out and at unscrewing thingd
yep, take cartridge/sd card out, unscrew the bottom inner shell, wipe out water if there's any.
also make sure the motherboard is dry (probably is)
Both seem to be dry
If anything I’m a little worried about the n3ds screen
But I feel like that’s too complex for me
Not sure though
screen should be fine unless the water is directly split on top of it
Well
There was a little water in the top right
By the screen
It didn’t get into any ports I think
But I’m not 100%
I’m pretty sure it was by the screen and not on it
oh... well, should be fine, unless it's split on top of it when it's open
