You likely won't be able to recover the account because you don't know anything about it other than the email attached to it. Admins won't look up that information for you and give you access to an account just based off an email

I still think it would be nice to at least have "Complete 1 bootcamp map" as a daily quest, it would perhaps push players to try something they're otherwise too scared to play or practice in. Likewise, you could just skip that daily quest if you don't feel like doing it.
I can't count the amount of times I've skipped Defilante just because it's such a slow and boring module. I'm sure others will have the same opinions on Bootcamp quests. Just skip it if you don't want to do it

If you report it, moderators can access a user's chatlogs to a certain degree. If you don't report them in-game, mods won't be able to help you at all. It's difficult to discuss things over discord because moderators do not accept screenshots or videos as evidence. They need to be present at the time of the issue (hence why reporting in-game is important).
