I'm wondering what way I can exactly repair this? I don't mind simply sending it off to someone here for repairs too

If it isn't needed for any of the buttons or anything else I don't mind leaving as is since I've never repaired a trace before

the first thing you should do is check if all of the buttons still work. if a button has a damaged test pad but still works, you don't need to repair it

Seems like all the buttons still work from a quick test

Would there be any long term damage not repairing it through?
Like degrading over time?

#

I still would like to eventually repair it for future mods if possible

it should be fine long term like this. the broken test points cannot be easily repaired - if you wanted to use those locations to attach wires (for a mod) later on you'd need to do get into more advanced trace repair which is not something you would want to practice on your game boy. but it can be repaired

#

what I'd recommend you do is leave this game boy alone and practice soldering on practice kits. once you've honed your skills - get a different game boy and try this mod again (the rgb button mod)

Honestly leaving the rgb mod alone

I will buy an another gba.
Feels like I possibly may have ripped the pad off desoldering thr rgb kit that didn't work

I understand how you feel about that - the gba is working fine which is what matters. ๐Ÿ™‚
Getting another gba and trying again (after practicing your soldering) is the best move here. Do practice first as the test points are delicate and easy to damage

when you're ready feel free to ask us for advice on tools/etc in #modding - we have a lot of information to share

Thanks for all the information and encouragement I felt so hurt broken after investing so much money into modding this thing (over 300 with a broken screen ๐Ÿ’”)

Going to solder back the wires for the screen and pack leave it as is as finish
