It says right there that it's made in China, i thought Japan made these

Nope some US and EUR versions were Made in China. Mine is a US version

Sorry about my pic I just found it in a trash bag hidden under the staircase after 25 years. Im on the process of restoring it just waiting for replacement parts (battery springs, cover)
