Got a GameShark the other day. Everything looks in good condition but the device struggles to turn on, providing a garbled "Nintendo" no matter how much I try to clean the contacts. I did get the logo to come up once, but it was brief.
Think a reflow on the chips is in order? Or might it be toast?

Some of the traces coming off the cart pins look a bit sketch. Would be simple enough to boop them out with a multimeter to see if they have continuity
There seem to be a fair number of corroded vias all over though, so this may not be as simple as that
Ah, my lack of investing in a multimeter after all these years finally comes back to bite me. I'll prioritize that one to check the traces.
Would the corrosion be something I'd be able to address?
If a trace is broken, you can jump it with wire -- enameled magnet wire works well because of how thin it is. Just keep in mind you don't want to get solder on the cart edge pins, so it's best to tape that off with kapton while you work.
