#Screwed up a Desoldering: Not experienced enough to fix the mistake myself. Asking for help.

There’s a way to fix it but if I where you I’d take it somewhere. You should avoid trying to fix it yourself. Maybe try your local phone repair shop or ask for someone to repair it in #1049401311101206649 once you’ve been here for 30 days
I will. I feel like a fool. Last night I thought it went well and posted on the reddit asking if there was anything to do when I realized the truth
It’s worth fixing but most places and experienced people would charge you almost what that board is worth. For example, my repair fee would be $35 minimum and you’d have to pay shipping both ways. It’ll add up.
I'll probably do that.
these are the connections in red you'd need to repair if you were to solder wires
Yup
You can add wires from the power switch as well. Solder the middle 2 points and the anchors and wire to the side of the resistor and F1. Again I’d not try to repair it any further and just have someone else do it for you
If you don’t want to wait 30 days you can message a verified modder here to see if they’ll take you on. (If that’s not against the rules I’m not sure lol). Usually it means they’re trustworthy.
I have a lot of offers, it's really great to see. I just wish I knew where I screwed up
You used too much force to pull off the switch while the solder wasn’t fully melted. This damaged the actual pads on the PCB where the switch was soldered onto.
Oh, I thought it was too much heat originally myself
It’s a bit of both. My understanding is the pads are adhered to the fiberglass via an adhesive that is rather weak when it’s hot
Damn. I admit I had trouble with the solder as it kept hardening before I could get it up with the de soldering pump
using a desoldering pump with a silicone tip helps create a better suction seal, low melt solder helps too. but what’s done is done, practice desoldering on a kit
