I bought a legit emerald cart today. However, the cart won't boot. Can't get past the standard Gameboy boot up screen. What can I try? I've cleaned it as thoroughly as I can, but it still isn't in the best shape.

there is some glare, but anywhere you see copper thats turned dark or green is signs of corrosion

ok. Is there anyway to clean/fix the corrosion? There are a few brown spots on the front

depending on your repair skills you could consider transferring components to a new board

My skills aren't at that level (yet), but I'm willing to try after some practice.
Failing that, any other methods I can try first?

there is a grouping of vias on the back that has visible corrosion
where the stain is
vias connect the front of the board to the back
and the majority of them are under the ICs
so its gonna be a rough repair

Dang, I was hoping a good cleaning would fix it. I picked it up in person and brought my tri-wing with me to make sure it was legit, didn't consider bringing my console to test it too. At a glance, I thought it would be fine with some IPA and a new battery.
I haven't ordered a blank board like this before or used that site...anything I should know?
