Hi. This is my first gameboy mod. I just used a Funnyplaying Laminated IPS Screen for the GBA with one of their shells. I noticed that there are some vertical lines on the screen that show up in certain scenarios. There’s a few on the side of the screen and one in the middle. I tried reinserting the ribbon cable to the motherboard but it did not help. Are these dead pixels? Is there any way to fix this?

Nope you should contact the seller and request a replacement.

As a side note tho, did you test it before install?

Yeah I tested it before install but those lines are so faint i couldn’t see them. On the white gameboy screen or many other games I cant notice the lines. This green color shows the lines the best i guess

Testing before installing in this case is not a big deal, as the screen doesn't get permanently attached to the shell, just make sure to take it out and take the pictures with it outside the shell for the vendor evidence

Yeah I’m sure the vendor won’t find out even though most of them are in here..

How about some actual troubleshooting? Photos of the installation? Do the lines appear when the panel isn’t in the shell? This can be caused by excess pressure on the back of the panel.
